Ok Zoomer – a Mod for Minecraft 1.17.1/1.16.5 adds a customizable multifunction zoom key, which allows you to scale. By default, the zoom key is tied to C, and the zoom itself is different, with features such as scroll zooming, smooth transitions and reduced mouse sensitivity.
That’s not the end of the story, however, because here you are in charge of your own zoom! Through the configuration screen (which is accessible through the mod menu) the zoom is fully customizable, and if the default behavior isn’t exactly what you want, you can change the smallest details or even restore the OptiFine zoom with the touch of a button!
A classic way to move the camera that uses the OptiFine , but more compatible with the Vanilla Cinematic Camera itself! It has 3 modes: off, vanilla and multiplied. Vanilla is exactly the same as the cinematic camera function in the game, and Multiplied multiplies the values used for smoothness by reducing or increasing the delay.
An alternative way of moving the camera, represented by WI Zoom. Zoom divides mouse sensitivity dynamically, the more it increases, the slower the mouse is, resulting in greater accuracy. Can be enabled or disabled.
A feature of this mod itself, it adds transitions between zooming in and out instead of a sudden change. It has 3 modes: off, smooth and linear. Smooth transitions are similar to Vanilla’s dynamic FOV, while linear transitions have constant steps until they reach state.
The behavior of the zoom key itself. It has 3 modes: hold, toggle, and constant. Hold requires the key to be held to zoom, Toggle allows you to toggle the zoom with the key, Persistent makes the zoom constant, with the key used to scroll the zoom (recommended with a zoom divider of 1.0).
Another feature presented by WI Zoom allows you to use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out, its features can be configured under “Values”.
Additional keyboard shortcuts:
Adds 3 more keyboard shortcuts: “Zoom In”, “Zoom Out” and “Reset Zoom”. Best used in conjunction with constant or fixed zoom. Can be disabled or enabled, but requires restarting Minecraft to apply the changes.
Adds an overlay when zoomed in. By default, the texture is a vignette, but it can be changed with the resource pack. Texture path: assets/okzoomer/textures/misc/zoom_overlay.png.
The divider that is ultimately applied to the field of view when magnified.
Minimum/Maximum Magnification Divider:
The minimum zoom divider that scrolling zoom or additional keyboard shortcuts can achieve.
(Smaller) Scroll Steps:
The value that decreases or increases the zoom divider when scrolling or when additional keyboard shortcuts are used, the smaller scroll step is used when the zoom divider is lower than the default, and the normal step when it is higher.
The multiplier that is applied to the cinematic camera when using multiplier mode.
The multiplier used for smooth transition: higher is faster, lower is slower.
Minimum/Maximum Linear Step:
The limits of the linear transition step used to prevent the transition from being too fast or too slow.
Reset zoom with mouse:
Allows you to reset the zoom with the middle mouse button, intended to be used in conjunction with scrolling zoom or additional keys that are effective for constant zooming.
Disable conflicting key:
Disables the “Save toolbar activator” binding if both it and the zoom key are set to C. It is enabled when the configuration file is created, but disabled when the key is not bound, it can be enabled in the configuration screen in case the automatic disabling is not performed. does not work.
Printing owo at startup:
When this mod is enabled, this mod will print “[Ok Zoomer] owo what this” or variants of it in the console log when the configuration is loaded, which originally meant it was the indev version of the mod, it can be enabled regardless of stability.
Reset to preset:
Allows you to change the configuration with presets whose values are already populated, the preset is applied after the configuration is saved. Has 3 presets: default, classic and permanent. Default changes the values to the default values on the configuration screen, Classic changes the values to match the OptiFine scaling . Constant changes the values to behave more like an FOV mod than a zoom mod.
